Dog Walker

**Key Responsibilities**
- Pick up and drop off dogs from their homes in a timely, professional manner
- Lead structured, off-leash group **hikes** in safe, natural environments
- Supervise and manage small groups of dogs (typically 4-6 per walk)
- Maintain a calm, consistent, and **positively reinforced environment**:

- Support basic training and reinforce good leash and trail behavior
- Monitor dogs for signs of stress, illness, or injury and respond appropriately
- Communicate daily updates and any concerns to dog owners
- Create **engaging daily social media content** (photos/videos/stories) from your walks
- Keep the vehicle clean and safe for transporting dogs
- Follow all local bylaws and company safety protocols

**What We’re Looking For**
- A true love for dogs and a deep respect for their well-being
- Experience with dog handling or group walks preferred
- Confidence managing dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong understanding of **positive reinforcement** and structured group dynamics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable capturing and posting **photo and video content** on social media
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Must have a **4x4 vehicle** suitable for transporting dogs
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- **Available Monday-Friday, starting September** with commitment through **May 2026**:

- Willingness to complete **training in canine first aid and dog behaviour** (support can be provided)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
