- **Procurement Advisor** to join our procurement team in Vancouver.**Key responsibilities**
- ** Adherence to Policy and Process**: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Work to mitigate risks related to legal and ethical compliance within Sedgman’s procurement processes.
- ** Strategic Procurement Planning**:Understand and contribute to the development of procurement registers and plans produced for each project and work to these.
- ** Supplier Management**: Identify potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and establish contracts for the procurement of goods and services. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective sources of supply.
- ** Sourcing/Tendering**:Manage the tendering process, including the preparation and evaluation of tenders or bids for a number of procurement packages and be proficient with the use of online e-tendering platforms.
- ** Contract Management**: Develop and administer contracts of allocated packages, ensuring that terms and conditions are met and that Sedgman’s interests are protected.
- ** Cost Management**: Administer costs to allocated budgets. Strive to achieve cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting delivery timelines. This includes the use of Sedgman’s ERP for managing purchasing commitments (JDE).
- ** Documentation transmission**: Be proficient with centralised document management systems for collaboration and ensure communication with project team and suppliers are conducted through this system
- ** Reporting**: Maintain accurate and organized procurement records. Contribute to monthly reports on procurement activities.

Salary range in BC: $80,000-110,000
