**Position Summary**

As our company continues to grow, we are looking to add a dedicated **Shop Technician** to our team. Reporting to the Shop Manager, this role is key in assembling equipment and products according to drawings and work orders. We’re seeking someone with a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and accountability who thrives in a collaborative warehouse environment. The Shop Technician will use their knowledge and hands-on experience to complete a variety of tasks efficiently and accurately, contributing to our ongoing success.
- Assemble products according to drawings and desired specs using hand and power tools
- Working with piping, including assembling and welding threaded and grooved pipe, and HDPE pipe welding.
- Operating in and around engines.
- Conducting quality checks, testing, and commissioning of products.
- Operating equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Performing general manufacturing shop tasks related to material handling, cleanup, and tool and machinery operations.
- Collaborating with the team to meet production schedules.
- Ensuring organization and security in stockrooms.
- Participating in periodic inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Undertaking any other duties as required.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Meticulous attention to detail and organization, excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, accountable to colleagues
- Ability to deal with change and ambiguity that comes with a growing organization.
- Proactive and collaborative attitude.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in fabrication and assembly of manufactured threaded and grooved pipe.
- Knowledge and experience in pipefitting and would be considered an asset but not required.
- Technical and mechanical aptitude with a keen focus on safety.
- Familiarity with mechanical tools and working in and around engines.
- Valid BC Driver’s License and steel toes boots are essential.
- Previous experience in a similar shop or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Training and certification for forklift operation, First Aid, WHIMIS is an asset, however, we will provide these and any other necessary requirements.
