Shop Technician

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Select parts and materials from inventory based on work orders.
- Ensure accuracy in part numbers, quantities, and locations.
- Prepare parts for assembly by cleaning and organizing them as needed.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Conduct simple troubleshooting and adjustments on assembled products.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and products.
- Operate basic machinery and equipment under supervision.
- Assist in conducting inventory counts and stock checks.
- Report any discrepancies or shortages to the supervisor.
- Perform basic inspections on parts and assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Dispose of waste materials properly and in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Assist in routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and tools.
- Work closely with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Provide support in other areas of production as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanics is a plus.
- Experience in mechanics and product assembly is considered an asset
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
