In this role, you'll collaborate with dozens of clients on writing their SR&ED technical reports. You'll get to know each client and find ways to proactively help them throughout the year to build up their SR&ED activity and traceability. You'll be part of a team of experienced specialists, in a premier firm that's had a 17 year successful track record helping clients grow. You will report to the Director of Technical Services. **Responsibilities** - Elicitation of information from clients to Identify eligible R&D activities (even if they didn't know it was "SREDable") - Collect, organize and write detailed technical documents from information provided by clients (onsite and remotely) - Develop and craft technical, narrative and financial components of SR&ED claims & other grants - Provide support in the case of claim reviews and audits - Conduct regular touchpoints with clients throughout the year on their SR&ED activity and provide valuable advice and feedback to maximize their claims **Location**:Hybrid - In office and remote, with offices located in Toronto and Montreal **Requirements**: - **Excellence**:An uncompromising commitment to achieving the highest standards of quality in everything we do. - **Integrity**:Being honest and ethical in all our actions, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and personal conduct. - **Learning**:A commitment to continuous learning and growth, with an open mindset to embrace new opportunities and challenges. - **Empathy**:A willingness to understand and respect the perspective of others, and to treat them with kindness, compassion and respect. To succeed in this role, you need a strong background in technical writing and take pride in the quality of the work you produce. You must have a strong empathy for clients in order to establish credibility, and deliver a high level of service of value to make their experience unforgettably painless. - 3+ years prior training and experience as a SR&ED Consultant, in the IT sector. - Skilled in elicitation and interview techniques. - Experience in preparing and defending CRA audits. - Above average multi-tasking, and time management skills in a high-volume, fast paced environment - Excellent client-facing spoken and written communication skills - Nice to have_ - Bilingual (French/English) - Grant writing expertise **Interview Process** - 30-minute video conference to assess fit - 1-hour interview to demonstrate your technical skills (in person in Toronto or Montreal if possible) - 1-hour in person to meet with other team member(s) for cultural fit - 30-minute debriefing call with hiring manager **Benefits** **Compensation** - $75,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience - 3 weeks paid vacation - 2 additional floater holidays - Health and dental benefits - $1,000 annual training budget - Group RRSP matching - Home office set-up stipend **Why Flow?** Flow is a professional services firm that helps entrepreneurs navigate the world of funding and get their businesses funded with confidence, whether it be R&D tax credits, grants, venture capital or loans.
