**The Opportunity**:
The Culture and Event Services team is tasked with the supporting City of Airdrie facilities rentals, performing and visual arts programming, and Special Events. This includes facility rentals at the Town and Country Complex, Bert Church Live Theatre, and the soon to be constructed Airdrie Inspire Multi Use Facility, as well as supporting City-led Signature Events and the Special Events permitting process.

The Shift Leader guides, coaches, and coordinates a team casual part time Facility Attendants, CSR’s and contractors to deliver a wide range of services. The Shift Leader works closely with the Customer Services Coordinator in assisting the Arts Programs and Events Team Leader in all aspects of the portfolio including supporting rentals, programs, special events, building safety inspections, scheduling & coordinating maintenance & repair activities, and ensuring an overall excellent customer and occupant service experience.

This position will primarily be scheduled for evenings, weekends, and/or late-night shifts to support facility users.

Responsibilities include:

- Supports the Customer Services Coordinator in providing daily direction, guidance, motivation, and support to the Facility Attendants and CSR’s ensuring the team is providing excellent customer service and meeting their daily work schedule commitments.
- Responsible for the scheduling, training, and coordination of Facility Attendants and CSRs to ensure adequate coverage to support facilities rentals and ensure facilities are safely used and maintained, ensuring all standards and codes are met.
- Conduct, coordinate, and schedule facility cleaning, ensuring cleaning standards are maintained by team members and contract service providers.
- Conduct basic maintenance activities and coordinate with contractor and maintenance staff in the scheduling and completion of facility maintenance work.
- Perform required facility safety inspections, reporting and actioning any identified safety concerns in community facilities buildings.
- Work closely with the Customer Services Coordinator and the Culture and Event Services Team Leader to support departmental goals and business strategies, develop guidelines, procedures, and processes, and look for opportunities for increased efficiencies
- Provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of City of Airdrie community facilities to ensure compliance with safety policies, guidelines, procedures and all relevant health and safety, environmental, and AGLC legislation as it relates to the safe use of City of Airdrie Facilities.
- Coordinates and completes the set-up, take-down, cleaning, and other preparation and oversight of community facility rentals and events.

**You Bring**:

- Post-Secondary in a related field considered an asset
- Current Standard First Aid - Level C CPR and AED required
- Valid Class 5 required
- Proserv is required
- Customer Service experience.
- Understanding of AGLC and AHS requirements related to rental events and commercial kitchens is an asset.
- Banquet and/or Facility Rental experience is an asset.
- Experience using payroll, scheduling, event rental and administrative software systems is an asset.
- Ability to inspire and motivate team members to deliver exemplary customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and oral)
- Highly organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Adapt well in an ever changing and diverse environment
- Self-starter, goal-oriented, resourceful, innovative and creative/forward-thinking
- Strong problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills
