**Introduction**

The Security Manager is responsible for the security of both the Aylmer and London facilities for Motif Labs. This role develops, implements, and stewards Motif’s security programs to safeguard employees, visitors and company assets and ensure compliance with regulations. This position reports to the Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations.

**Position Overview**
- Coordinate and supervise all security operations at Motif Labs (2 locations)
- Develop and steward all security programs and SOPs
- Scope and implement security requirements for the 2nd site in London
- Monitor and maintain the Security Management System (incl. cameras, alarms, etc.) and coordinate changes/upgrades, as required
- Establish and maintain a reporting system to ensure security abnormalities are investigated and documented in a timely manner, including trending and investigating alarms
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure compliance and effectiveness of security programs companywide
- Ensure all staff who are screening every person entering/exiting site adheres to a robust process and documentation is complete
- Advise all stakeholders on security performance
- Maintain knowledge of all security related requirements in the cannabis regulations
- Ensure detailed record keeping of security data per Health Canada regulations
- Main point of contact for security related issues and alarms; including after hours
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years experience in a security role at a Cannabis or manufacturing facility is required
- 2+ years in a leadership capacity is required
- Experience within the cannabis industry (with Health Canada Security Clearance) is preferred
- Experience developing and implementing security strategies and programs is required.
- Strong computer skills, with experience navigating excel, security management systems, etc.
- Physically fit; standing and/or sitting will be required for long periods of time and must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Required to pass a criminal background check
