The Opportunity
- **Terms of Employment**: Permanent, Full time hours. Shift times to be finalized. Bistro is currently open from 11am to 8pm Weekdays and will be expected to open later during summer/seasonal months, Weekends open until 10am to 9pm., with Sunday brunch. Closed Mondays.
- **Salary**: $15.50/hr, plus tips. Discounted food.
- **Food and beverage server (NOC: 6453)**

**Location**: Port Dover, Ontario

**Skill Requirements**: Team player, demonstrated reliability with experience in busy restaurant environments. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task within busy food service settings along with a proactive approach to problem solving and tasks.

**Education/ Credentials**: Completed SmartServe Certification.

**Experience**: Experience Serving/Hosting in a Restaurant is an asset.

**Languages**: Speak English, Read English, Write English

**Cuisine Specialties**: Canadian, International, European

**Work Setting**: Bistro. Restaurant Dining Area, Kitchen

**Food and Beverage Serving Skills**: Serve food and beverages, general plate service, Present bills to customers and accept payment. Describe menu items including daily specials for customers, Advise on menu selections, upselling. Accommodation of people with disabilities.

**Wine and Stewarding/Serving Skills**: Describe and advise on wine selection, Present, open, pour and serve wine in appropriate wine glassware. SMART Serve Certification required and compliance to House Alcohol Policy. **MUST HAVE DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE OF WINES, PREPARING DRINKS.**

**Additional Skills**: Customer service oriented, Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, Address customers' complaints or concerns, Assist customers with special needs, Balance cash and record sales. Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs, Load buspans and trays, Set tables, when needed.
