**Job Title: Conference Coordinator**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage conference registrations and maintain accurate records.
- Create and schedule engaging posts for LinkedIn and Facebook.
- Research and compile databases of professors and potential attendees.
- Send invitations and follow up with potential participants.
- Develop and manage conference programs, including scheduling sessions, coordinating with speakers, and preparing program materials.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of conference materials.
- Attend conferences, assist with on-site coordination, and ensure smooth execution.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all aspects of the conference are covered.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of conference websites (knowledge of HTML preferred).
- Handle other tasks related to conference organizing as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook).
- Knowledge of HTML and website management is advantageous.
- Experience in event planning or coordination is preferred.
- Ability to travel internationally for conferences.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $42,000.00-$46,000.00 per year

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON K1C 1G1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

**Experience**:

- Event Planning: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)
