Nordic Minesteel Technologies is currently recruiting for a **Production Manager **to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for the planning, execution and control of production activities in a safe, efficient and timely manner that meets customer requirements within budgeted limits, quality requirements and safety regulations.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Effective planning and scheduling of production activies to ensure completion according to Operations’ and customer expectations
- Ensuring that project work quality is in compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements
- Ensuring that estimated direct labour, material and supplies costs for each job are maintained or reduced
- Manage priorities to mach available supply to demands to achieve established customer contract obligations and operational business goals
- Adhere to ISO standards, track production issues and concerns, issue NCRs as necessary, follow up on departmental non-conformances to completion
- Identify and prepare for current and future challenges relating to the Production teams
- Understanding and implementation of appropriate procedures to ensure compliance with Local, Provincial, and Federal guidelines, and regulatory bodies
- Ensuring that all operational, quality and safety procedures are in place and effective
- On-going monitoring and verification of safety and quality to ensure compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements
- Effective supervision and motivation of personnel reporting to this position to ensure maximum overall and individual productivity
- On-going communication with the Operations Manager to ensure common understanding of immediate issues affecting productivity
- Daily review of production status with Supervisors/Lead Hands and taking corrective action as required
- Thorough and timely completion of all reports required by Management
- Personal resolution of all business and human relations' problems or grievances not satisfactorily settled at a lower level
- Ensuring that reporting personnel are properly trained on policies and procedures

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- 10 years (min) of previous experience in a similar role is required, with preference given to experience within the customer metal manufacturing industry
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written). Communication in French would be considered an asset
- Ability to motivate and supervise reporting personnel, as well as work in a productive, cooperative manner with other company personnel
- Strong understanding of general and metal fabrication practices and standards
- Advanced comprehension of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Comprehensive technical understanding of present and leading edge technology in the metal fabrication industry
- High sense of urgency and strong work ethic
- Multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage various orders and activities with attention to detail
- Experience using an ERP system
