We are a local, family run business that has been operating for over 25 years and steady growth means we need additional staff to continue our high level of service.

This is a full-time on-site role located in Waterloo, ON, for a Junior Fire Alarm Technician. The Junior Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for assisting with installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm systems. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting low voltage electrical systems, performing system upgrades, ensuring life safety compliance, and providing excellent customer service. The Technician will also conduct regular testing of alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.

The employee is responsible for ensuring that fire extinguishers and emergency lighting systems are fully operational, compliant with safety regulations, and ready for use in the event of an emergency. This involves conducting regular inspections, performing routine maintenance, and documenting all findings and corrective actions.

**Qualifications Preferred**
- Experience with Alarm Systems and Life Safety protocols is a plus.
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
- Certification in fire alarm systems or related field is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree is preferred
- NFPA10 certification is a plus.
