Electronics Lead Buyer

**Description**
Taiga Motors is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Electronics Lead Buyer to oversee the electrical supply chain. Responsibility will include optimizing the supply chain with a priority on cost, quality, and reliability.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement a Best Cost Country Strategy for sourcing electrical components, ensuring optimal cost-efficiency and quality.
- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including delivery schedules, pricing, and payment terms to achieve organizational goals.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of supply chain providers within the electrical components sector to enhance sourcing strategies.
- Source and manage custom-designed electrical components based on build-to-print specifications, ensuring alignment with product requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of sourced components into projects.
**Main Deliverables (Next 3-6 Months)**:
- Successfully transition electrical commodities from High-Cost Countries (HCC) to Best Cost Countries (BCC) while achieving significant cost reductions.
- Strengthen relationships with existing vendors to improve collaboration and foster long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to optimize designs for cost efficiency and quality, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Comfortable negotiating and holding suppliers accountable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication in both English and French as you will work with vendors locally and internationally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

La responsabilité comprendra l'optimisation de la chaîne d'approvisionnement avec une priorité sur le coût, la qualité et la fiabilité.
**Principales responsabilités**:
- Développer et mettre en œuvre une stratégie de meilleur coût par pays pour l'approvisionnement en composants électriques, en garantissant un rapport coût-efficacité et une qualité optimaux.
- Négocier des conditions favorables avec les fournisseurs, y compris des calendriers de livraison, des prix et des conditions de paiement pour atteindre les objectifs de l'organisation.
- Maintenir une connaissance approfondie des fournisseurs de la chaîne d'approvisionnement dans le secteur des composants électriques afin d'améliorer les stratégies d'approvisionnement.
- Rechercher et gérer des composants électriques conçus sur mesure, sur la base de spécifications de fabrication à l'impression, en veillant à ce qu'ils soient conformes aux exigences du produit.
- Collaborer efficacement avec les équipes interfonctionnelles, y compris l'ingénierie, la production et l'assurance qualité, afin d'assurer l'intégration transparente des composants sourcés dans les projets.
**Principaux résultats attendus (3 à 6 mois)**:
- Réussir la transition des produits électriques des pays à coûts élevés (HCC) vers les pays à meilleurs coûts (BCC) tout en réalisant des réductions de coûts significatives.
- Renforcer les relations avec les fournisseurs existants afin d'améliorer la collaboration et de favoriser les partenariats à long terme.
- Collaborer avec les équipes d'ingénierie pour optimiser les conceptions en termes de rentabilité et de qualité, en veillant à l'alignement sur les spécifications et les délais du projet.
**Exigences**:
- Baccalauréat en gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement, en administration des affaires ou dans un domaine connexe.
- 4+ ans d'expérience dans un rôle similaire.
- A l'aise dans la négociation et la responsabilisation des fournisseurs.
- Solides compétences en matière d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes.
- Maîtrise des logiciels ERP et de la suite Microsoft Office.
- Excellente communication en anglais et en français, car vous travaillerez avec des fournisseurs locaux et internationaux.
- Capacité à travailler dans un environnement en constante évolution et à gérer plusieurs tâches simultanément.
