**YOUR MISSION**

As a costume buyer, your mission includes sourcing your main category and being the liaison for new show productions.

Your main scope is the footwear category. This scope combines product development and finished goods purchasing through the retail network.
- Review, plan and process purchase requisitions for products within your scope via our MRP system on SAP, always with the aim of cost improvement and quality control;
- Issue purchase orders, carry out follow-ups and follow-ups to ensure availability of materials according to end-users' needs.
- Inform internal customers of issues and propose optimal problem-solving solutions (supply, costs, lead times, discontinuation);
- Support internal teams with your expertise;
- Carry out market analyses, seek out new suppliers, advise production and follow-up teams on têxtile materials;
- Support internal customers in managing supplier relations;
- Request quotations;
- Update SAP and MRP information, material and supplier files (Info Record), lead time for better long-term supply planning;
- Process invoices relating to purchases made;
- Drive to retailers in and around Montreal to search for products.

As liaison, you will be responsible for:

- Be the main contact between the costume design team and the buyer team by category for the show assigned to you;
- Daily follow-up of requests and delivery deadlines for products destined for this production;
- Coordinate follow-up meetings with buyers or show productions.

**YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE**
- Superior technical or commercial training;
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar position in the têxtile or fashion industry (experience in purchasing for the footwear category would be an asset);
- Mastery of SAP or an integrated MRP system;
- Understanding of purchasing planning and inventory management tools and systems;
- Ensure an excellent level of internal customer service;
- Act as a true business partner and demonstrate positive leadership and teamwork skills:

- Monitor and improve supplier performance, costs and delivery, and establish and maintain good supplier relationships;
- Ability to negotiate independently with suppliers and with little supervision;
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks;
- Organizational and planning skills;
- Autonomy and initiative
- Valid driver's license;
- Excellent communication skills in French and English.
