**Summary**

We are seeking a Line Locate Technician to join our team at Can-Traffic Services Ltd. This role is vital in ensuring the precise identification and marking of underground utilities prior to construction activities. Located in Alberta, this position plays a key role in maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency.

**What you will do Everyday**
- Conduct accurate locates of underground utilities using specialized equipment.
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure safe digging practices are followed.
- Maintain detailed records of locate requests and results for compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders regarding locate findings.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills Required**:

- Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to workdays/nights/weekends or out of town if necessary
- Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability

**Qualifications Needed**
- High School Diploma with previous line locating, mapping and GPS experience
- Valid Alberta Class 5 and submission of a 5-year Commercial Driver’s Abstract with less than 5 demerits
- Utility Advanced Line Locating Certification (PAL, CAPULC, or equivalent)
- Air Brakes (Q) Endorsement is an asset
