**SAFETY & COMPLIANCE MANAGER- TRANSPORTATION/TRUCKING**

**RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**
- Ensure compliancy with various governmental agencies (CTPAT, PIP, WSIB, Federal Labour code)
- Manage Electronic Logging Device compliancy (Samsara)
- Manage IFTA, IRP (Plating) and maintenance programs
- Implement and manage training programs for staff and drivers
- Recruitment and Manage Driver hiring process (including Road evaluations)
- Chair of the Health & Safety Committee
- Manage audit programs for self assessments adherence to company/governmental compliance
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people in a diplomatic and professional manner at all times
- Accident/incident investigation and general claims management
- Direct advisor to the Company Owner
- Promote a friendly safe culture
- Liaise with insurers to address loss prevention and controls
- Work with and assist with Operations Manager on risk assessments
- Manage accountability for safety violations
- Resource to everyone regarding regulations and compliancy
- **WORK EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 2 years in a similar role in the Transportation Industry
- Strong Leadership skills and a proven ability to evaluate train and manage drivers
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Working knowledge of MTO, DOT and CVOR requirements
- Proven ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Working knowledge of Elogs
- Has hired/terminated drivers and owner operators

**Preference will be given to someone with**:
AZ license (valid)

JHSC certification

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
