About the role and what you'll be doing:_**

We are strengthening our operations team with a service-minded **Professional Services Engineer **to work on our customer delivery projects in our team in Toronto, Canada although we will also consider relevant applicants who live elsewhere in North America.

You will work with a group of specialists in an enthusiastic team with E2E responsibility for customer engagement, deployment, and support. Primarily, you will work with our NetDesigner GIS-based fiber planning software aimed at telecom operators, and have accountabilities for all disciplines including installation, configuration, verification, documentation, training and customer support when required.
- Key Responsibilities:_
- Technical solution discussions with our customers and analysis of customer-specific data
- Installation, testing, implementation, training, documentation and commissioning of the complete NetDesigner / ArcGIS technology stack for customer projects
- Execute data migration projects from requirements analysis to delivery
- Technical support for customers, where required
- Assist with quality assurance process, as required

- Have a strong drive to deliver quality technical solutions to our customers in a timely manner
- Are able to analyze customer-specific data
- Are a self-starter, able to work independently in a hybrid-working environment
- Are able to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and management
- Sc or M.Sc in Geographic Information Systems, Telecommunications, Computer Science or similar
- 5+ years’ experience working in the GIS industry or telecommunications
- Experience using ArcGIS Desktop and Enterprise management software packages
- Strong communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to travel to customer sites, when required.
- Nice to have:_
- Experience with VMWare and managing VM environments
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS cloud platforms
- Experience working with Oracle and SQL Server
- Experience with web services (SOAP and REST protocols)
- Experience using utility / telecoms asset management software packages
- Knowledge of Python scripting language
