**Finance Manager**

**This position reports to the** Company Principals

At Garden City Tree & Landscape Ltd. and Garden City Snow & Anti-Ice Services Ltd., we create, care for, and improve the surroundings of discerning clients all over Greater Victoria and the Westshore.

We are currently extending a challenging and rewarding job opportunity to an experienced Finance Manager.

BASIC PURPOSE

As Finance Manager, you will play an important role in the pursuit and achievement of Garden City Tree & Landscape and Garden City Snow & Anti-Ice Services Ltd.

**In the Finance Manager role, you are responsible to**:

- Support and foster a positive team environment
- Provide leadership and support to administrative team
- Lead and mentor healthy communication
- Attend weekly management meetings
- Develop and implement related policies
- Verify finance systems/processes and make appropriate changes whenever necessary
- Oversee company payroll and leave requests
- Manage, direct, and control daily systems/processes
- Immediately address deficiencies to prevent production delays
- Manage all data related to finance and accounting
- Adjust protocols or policies to streamline and maximize profitability and effectiveness
- Process vendor payments (efts)
- Ensure corporate related filing is maintained and kept confidential
- Provide Government subsidy & loan management
- Review vendor contracts to ensure no oversites
- Payroll preparation and bank reconciliation
- Tree & Landscape invoicing
- Anti-Ice Tracking (seasonal) - Anti-Ice Invoicing (seasonal)

**Client/Customer Service**:
Communicate with all clients as necessary to properly deal with financial issues regarding invoices, accounts receivable, change orders or extras

When representing Garden City Tree & Landscape, it is expected to dress in a professional and appropriate manner in respect of our clients.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, you possess:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Finance/Business or equivalent
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) preferred
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to influence others
- Confidence - be proactive and self-directed
- Excellent organizational skills

**Job Location**:Victoria, BC - Job type: Full time/Permanent

**❄ Only local applicants will be considered**

**Salary will commence at $30.00 to $35.00/per hour and will be based on experience**

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
