River City Environmental is currently seeking asbestos supervisor/lead hand with experience.

Looking for reliable, hardworking individuals

2 to 5+ years experience min. of prior Abatement/demolition experience, pay rate will reflect that experience

Current resume with references required

Current Asbestos Abatement Type 1,2,3 Certification

Must be experienced in building containment/hoarding

Must have experience with the removal of asbestos containing material, and work on demolition projects

Supervisor/lead hand will work on site, will lead by example. Follow the work orders, report any damage from work related activities and maintain good housekeeping practices are followed

Organize equipment needed for the job, bring appropriate equipment for the specific tasks of the job

At the beginning of each job and as required, lead a safety meeting with the team. This may include a hazard assessment, site inspection, PPE inspection, etc.

Job requires planning ahead to anticipate issues, quick thinking and troubleshooting any problems as they arise

When the job is complete, be sure the work site is left clean, and no supplies and/or equipment is left behind

Required to work efficiently and safely

Ability to take direction, work independently and in team setting

Assist in training staff as required

Report to project manager

Able to meet deadlines

Comfortable with working at heights - Fall Protection Certificate an asset

Confined space certification an assest

Use of hand/power tools to complete tasks

Secondary (high) school min.

Lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) min.

Must have own steel toed boots

**Cellular phone with active data plan a must**

Criminal record check required

Class 5 drivers license an asset

Drivers record check (abstract)

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
