Job overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated home support worker to provide essential support and assistance to an individual in need of care.

This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our client who has profound intellectual and developmental challenges.

As a home care worker, you will be responsible for delivering personalized care in a home setting, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for the person you serve. Full paid training is provided. Wage increases from $25 an hour to $28 per hour upon completion of training and a probation period.

We require new employees to commit to a term of no less than one year.

**Responsibilities**:
Provide personal care services, including incontinence, care, bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.

Assist with meal preparation and follow nutritional plan in place.

Support client with preferred activities and mobility.

Perform assigned housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions as needed.

Document care provided, and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.

Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

qualifications:
Previous experience in home care for persons with intellectual and developmental challenges is required

Excellent communication skills.

Compassionate demeanor.

Knowledge of caregiving techniques for individuals with disabilities

Certification in CPR/first aid is mandatory

Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

English language, both verbal and written is required.

Must already live in the general area of the position.

Previous job references are required.

Current job openings:
Awake overnight weeknight shift

Approximately two or three nights shifts are available during the week no weekend availability at this time

Saturday and Sunday dayshift

Approximately eight hour shift must be willing to be trained in community inclusion for our client

Job type: part-time
