Currently, we are seeking an experienced, energetic and driven **Regional Service Manager, Vancouver Island** to join our team. This position is ideally based from Victoria, B.C. (but open to Central Vancouver Island)
Reporting to the Vice President, Service, the Regional Service Manager is responsible for growing and directing the electrical service and power quality teams within his/her region to achieve the company's strategic goals in relation to Service. Travel is required occasionally to Nanaimo and Courtenay areas.
**Essential Functions (but not limited to)**:

- Lead a Safety Culture.
- Oversee the performance and activities of all electrical service branches in the region (Victoria, Nanaimo, Courtenay)
- Provide the resources, training and environment required to achieve employee success.
- Assist local management with decision making on bids and projects to pursue
- Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
- Ensure the proper implementation of all company policies, procedures and productivity tools.
- Represent Houle with industry associations, professional organizations and affiliations for the purpose of developing relationships with customers, contractors and community leaders
- Provide employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth.
- Develop the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
- Provide leadership and accountability oversight for the services teams.
- Review customer feedback and ensure retention of customers.

**Experience and Skills**:

- 10+ years in a Customer Service related environment
- Electrical TQ or Electrical engineering degree or diploma or equivalent
- Project Management Certification
- Experience in electrical estimating is necessary
- Financial Management courses and awareness
- Excellent judgment and creative problem solving including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong mentoring, coaching experience
- Superior management skills, ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
- Self-reliant and results oriented
- Excellent English communication skills

This position will have approximately 30% day travel to other offices in the province with occasional overnight requirements.
