**CLINICAL SERVICES
Reporting to the Director of Medicine & Surgery and joining a dynamic, progressive Clinical team.
The Manager of Inpatient Rehab will be responsible for the following programs:
Inpatient Rehabilitation/Integrated Stroke Unit (29 bed unit; mix of acute, rehab and assess & restore)
Stroke Prevention & Anticoagulation Clinics
District Stroke Services (Nipissing-Temiskaming District)
Outpatient Rehab clinics along with the staff in OT,PT & SLP
**Job Summary **
Provide administrative and clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team
Create an environment of continuous learning; engaging staff, patient and families in ongoing quality improvement
Facilitate the delivery of safe high quality, patient-centered care to patients
Coordinate and be accountable for the day-to-day utilization of resources to achieve the service's goals
Provide leadership for operating initiatives, program goals and objectives to meet strategic directions in partnership with
the Clinical and Medical Director of the program
Proven budgeting and financial management skills
and promotion of quality in this organization
District Stroke Services involves:
Providing leadership for stroke care across the care continuum within the Nipissing-Temiskaming District
Liaising with regional & provincial partners to ensure alignment of stroke care delivery within the district
Work closely with stroke physician leads to ensure seamless stroke care at NBRHC
**Qualifications **
A Baccalaureate degree in a regulated health profession required
Master's Degree in related field required or in progress
A minimum of three years' experience as a clinical manager is preferred
A minimum of 5 years’ experience providing care to stroke patients and a strong understanding of rehabilitative
goals of care
Experience managing or leading a multi-disciplinary health care team
Proven change management skills combined with the ability to work with and through others
Strong leadership and motivational skills
Working knowledge of labour/management practices
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated conflict resolution and creative problem-solving skills
Demonstrated composure under stressful situations
Experience effecting change-adapting/implementing and facilitating change within others within both a unionized
and non-unionized environment
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
