Warehouse Associate

Hours of operations are standardly during daytime hours, however, some evenings and Saturdays may be required on an as-needed basis. Given the nature of the business (fresh cut flowers), the incumbent must be able to stay until the tasks are completed. This is not a standard 9-5 role. You must be able to stay until the job is done each shift.

**The successful applicant must have**:

- High school diploma
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptable, personable team player, representing the core values of The Floral Express
- Good judgement skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to be given tasks and execute them without supervision
- Strong foresight and ability to handle unexpected situations
- A passion for plants, how they grow and their storage
- Strong knowledge of flowers, plants and the floral industry
- An eye for determining the quality/condition of flowers

**Physical/Mental Demands**
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Must be physically capable of lifting 40 lbs.
- Ability to handle stress, as this role can at times be highly stressful
- Ability to work in various climates, including a warehouse environment which consists of cooler temperatures ranging from +2 to+16 degrees Celsius
