**We are currently looking for a highly motivated**
**Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Specialist to join the OPB team**

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Specialist will support the development, implementation, and administration of OPB’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. You will identify opportunities for creating efficiencies within the ERM program’s framework and processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As a key member of OPB’s Risk Management team, this position will provide technical expertise, advice, and leadership to various stakeholders on potential risks and consult with stakeholders to determine how to address identified risks and supports, develop modules and resources to educate and train employees to build risk awareness within the organization. You will play a key role enhancing processes for collecting and analyzing risk data across the organization to support OPB’s risk culture. You will support the preparation of reports, dashboards, summarize metrics, trends and all elements of the ERM program to generate a clear risk profile for the organization.

You will lead the development and maintenance of project and business unit risk registers, aligned with the enterprise risk framework in support of robust operational risk processes for business units i.e. risk identification, controls, self-assessments, mitigating action plans, reporting, and liaises with business areas to identify systemic risks across multiple business units. You will support business areas with the development of key risk indicators and programs for internal and external risk monitoring, reporting and governance controls related to priority risk areas/domains for the organization.

You will provide critical support to the ERM team by conducting risk assessments, reporting, and monitoring processes and identifying internal risk trends and operational issues. You will assist the ERM team with developing, conducting and presenting risk workshops, and support any internal or external audit reviews.

You will support the annual review of OPB insurance program, including but not limited to: assisting with all aspects of the corporate insurance program ensuring the development and implementation of cost-effective insurance programs for the operations. You will track incidents and claims as per the prescribed claims management process and protocols. You will also assist with other Compliance related projects/tasks as needed.

**Key Qualifications**
- Post Secondary degree in Business or Risk Management or equivalent combination of education and experience with 3-5 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in a small to mid-size organization. Relevant combination of education and experience shall be considered on an equivalency basis.
- Possesses or working towards attaining a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation or a certificate in Risk management from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Experience in supporting the implementation and maintenance of ERM programs. Familiarity in assessing policy, regulatory requirements, methodologies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Excellent written skills to draft, develop and implement organization risk management policies, guidelines and procedures.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in performing risk and compliance-related work on key business initiatives while ensuring its adherence to a framework that is continuously evaluated and appropriate updates are implemented to reflect the evolution of risk management and compliance within the organization.
- Strong communication skills; exercises tact and diplomacy in order to offer guidance and facilitate discussions with business areas on identifying, assessing, reporting and assisting with managing critical departmental risks.
- Proficient analytical skills, and the ability to aggregate and analyze quantitative and qualitative data; intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (ex. Excel, Word, PowerPoint. etc).
- Initiative driven to research and review current and new legislations and industry practices; remains up-to-date and equipped to assess adequacy of/impact to existing organization policies and procedures.
- Possesses proficient interpersonal and collaboration skills to provide technical expertise, advice and leadership to various stakeholders on potential risks and consult with stakeholders to determine how to address identified risks; supports the training of employees to build risk awareness.
- Sound judgement required to support the development, implementation, and administration of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
