**LOWER MAINLAND PURPOSE SOCIETY**
**Position: Burnaby Youth Hub Volunteer**
**Hours: (Pick one shift)**
- **Wednesdays from 3 pm - 7 pm.**:
- **Thursdays from 3 pm - 7 pm.**:
- **Fridays from 3 pm - 7 pm**
(You only need to volunteer 1 day a week)
**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist staff with planning and implementing programs and activities for youth in the hub.
- Engage with youth to provide mentorship, guidance, and support.
- Collaborate with staff to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for youth.
- Provide supervision and support during activities and events.
- Help to manage and maintain the youth hub's resources, materials, and equipment.
- Build positive relationships with youth, families, and community partners.
- Maintain confidentiality for all program participants.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience working with at-risk youth and a related education background.
- Must be at least 19 years old and able to pass a vulnerable background check.
- Must be able to commit to a regular schedule of volunteering at the youth hub (weekday afternoons and evenings).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Passionate about working with youth and making a positive impact in their lives.
**Job Type**: Casual
**Salary**: $0.10 per hour
