**Position: Part -Time, Permanent**

- **Position**:Sat - 1:30pm to 9:30pm / Sun - 12:30pm to 8:30pm**

**About the Role: Retail Security Guard**

As a Retail Security Guard at a retail site with Synergy Protection Group Inc., you’ll be the first line of defense in preventing shoplifting and trespassing, interacting with the public while ensuring a safe shopping environment. Your role will combine customer service with essential security protocols to protect both the premises and its patrons.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Proactively prevent shoplifting, particularly in high-theft areas.
- Identify and address instances of trespassing, enforcing the Trespass to Property Act as necessary.
- Conduct thorough patrols and monitor designated areas within the retail space.
- Investigate and report security breaches, incidents, and concerning behaviors.
- Record observations, incidents, and surveillance activities in detailed reports.
- Provide customer service-oriented interaction with patrons while enforcing security protocols.
- Identify and respond to potentially harmful or disruptive behavior.
- Escalate situations and assist law enforcement when needed.
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security matters.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Ontario security license.
- Previous security experience, preferably in a retail setting, is an asset.
- **Must have a minimum 2 years of security experience.**:

- Physical capability to stand for 10-12 hours.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with an alert, responsive demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm and act effectively in emergency situations.
