Position Requirement
- Must be a graduate of a Canadian Accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Must hold the Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) certification designation
from the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC)
- Preferred BCLS, ACLS, PALS certification
- Graduate of the McMaster or Consortium Physician Assistant Program;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Preferred Qualifications -Current ACLS, PALS certification and NALS certification;
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of coronary artery disease management;
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively as an active member of the interdisciplinary team;
- Demonstrates initiative and ability to prioritize, organize and work independently;
- Demonstrates knowledge of quality improvement and willingness to actively participate in continuous quality improvement activities/initiatives;
- Demonstrates commitment to continuing education and willingness to actively participate in departmental educational activities;
- Leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Provide cardiovascular risk assessment, diagnosis and treatment;
- Provide integrated approaches to the management of all aspects of cardiovascular disease;
- Work with our referring physicians to improve the cardiovascular well-being
of our mutual patients;
- Have an interest in clinical teaching and a willingness to spearhead community based clinical training in Cardiology.
