**SCHEDULE/HRS**:
Hours are within Monday to Sunday 21:30 - 9:30 // 73.5 hours bi-weekly

**HOURLY WAGE**:
$21.75 as per collective agreement **(To be adjusted to $24.85** pending funding from the **new Collective Agreement)**

**_ (Float AWNS are available for shifts on their scheduled work days between the hours of 21:30 to 9:30 (10.5 hours per night shifts). Work location will change from day-to-day. Scheduled days are not fixed and will be working with rotating weeks - Week 1: 4 shifts, and Week 2: 3 shifts)_**

**THE ROLE**:
The Awake Night Staff (AWNS) provides a safe, comfortable, and home-like environment for each resident with the opportunity for each resident to develop life skills to the limits of their desire and potential. The AWNS also ensures good communication between team members, family, and professionals with regard to the life of the individual.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Education & Experience**:

- Diploma or Certificate in an approved Health Care Training Program.
- 1-2 years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to implement complex behavior programs.
- Skilled in proactive training programs and crisis intervention.
- Must be able to perform lifts and transfers of 40lbs.
- Formal training in the area of counselling and behavior management preferred.

**Standard requirements of the Awake Night Staff include**:

- Criminal Record Clearance
- Medical Clearance
- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Class 5 Driver’s License
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification
- Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
- Basic computer literacy
- Eligible to work in Canada
