**Experienced Server with Experience in Alcohol Service**
**Location**:Newport Village, Port Moody, BC
Murasaki Japanese Restaurant is a local Japanese restaurant known for its authentic cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. We offer delicious sushi, sashimi and a variety of hot foods paired with drink menus, including sake, wine, and beer. To enhance our dining experience, we seek an experienced server in alcohol service to join our team.
**Duties**:
- Welcome and seat our guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Provide recommendations and suggestions for drink pairings with meals
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations and policies
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the preparation area and dining room
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen, sushi bar, and server team to ensure smooth service
- Promote featured drinks and specials
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience as a server in a restaurant or bar setting, with a focus on alcohol service
- interest and knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, including sake, wine, beer, and cocktails
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and drink preparation
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems for order processing
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Interests in Japanese cuisine and passion for food pairing
- Certification in Serving It Right
