**Part-Time Server (Sunday & Thursday Availability)**

Murasaki Japanese Restaurant, located in the heart of Newport Village, is renowned for our authentic Japanese cuisine and friendly, inviting atmosphere. We’re looking for an experienced server to join our team part-time with availability on **Sunday and Thursday**. Our menu features an array of sushi, sashimi, and hot dishes, paired with a curated selection of sake, wine, and beer to elevate the dining experience.

**Position Highlights**:

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Welcome and seat guests warmly, ensuring a comfortable dining experience
- Provide recommendations and pairings for our drink menu to complement dishes
- Uphold all alcohol service standards and ensure responsible service
- Monitor guests' alcohol consumption to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining and preparation areas
- Collaborate with the kitchen, sushi bar, and fellow servers for smooth service
- Promote and inform guests about featured drinks and menu specials

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: At least 1 year of serving experience in a restaurant or bar setting, with a focus on alcohol service
- **Skills & Knowledge**: Familiarity with different types of alcoholic beverages, including sake, wine, and beer; knowledge of Japanese cuisine is a plus
- **Attributes**: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- **POS Proficiency**: Experience with point-of-sale systems for accurate order processing
- **Certification**: Must have a valid **Serving It Right** certificate
