Fill Line Operator

**PPG Pickering Plant is hiring a Full Time Fill Line Operator with an Opportunity to Build Your Career**

This position is for Day Shift with typical Shift hours between Monday - Friday 7am to 3:30pm

As a Fill Line Operator you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Follows all established plant safety, environmental and PPE requirements.
- The individual must be a licensed forklift driver, punctual, responsible, possess good reading & mathematical skills and take pride in filling a good batch of media.
- Understanding of the different ingredients that goes into a batch, the importance of the correct sequence of additions of raw material.
- Inspect, maintain, and operate utilities system of the plant to provide specified and reliable environmental conditions and report abnormal conditions to the Plant Manager/Maintenance Manager.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work overtime when required.
- Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with good manufacturing practice, standard operating procedures, work instructions and establish safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and safety procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
- Previous production experience.
- Ability to lift up to 55lb.
- Good understanding of the machine’s functions with ability to achieve high level of precision.
- Good housekeeping skills in accordance with 5S principles.
