**Summary**:
St. Joseph Communications is Canada’s largest privately owned communications company with three integrated platforms in Content, Print and Media. SCL’s Media Sales team manages a variety of portfolios such as, CAA, and Canadian Geographic that include traditional media, integrated content, digital, social, sponsorships, experiential, and more. We work in a fast paced environment that offers many opportunities to create bespoke programs with various touch points and distribution channels, making us unique and unmatched in our offering.

**In this role you will**:

- Work towards achieving targets by actively selling within your territory and secure new media sales by creating and presenting media plans to new and existing clients
- Take full ownership and responsibility for assigned territory and budget, while continually looking for creative and innovative ways to create new opportunities
- Build great relationships with advertisers, providing status updates, end of campaign reports and after care
- Demonstrated success building strong client relationships with contacts at top-tier agencies and advertisers
- Partner with internal teams to build new programs relevant to territory with sales tools including presentations, kits, sponsorship outlines and contract strategy
- Be a self starter and take initiative to learn the portfolios, featured sections, online channels and more to create desirable placements and new bookings

**And a bit about yourself**:

- Post-secondary education within Advertising, Media or a related field, and/or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience specializing in categories that include automotive, CPG, real estate, electronics and retail; custom content is considered an asset
- Experience selling integrated marketing strategy and solutions including Print, Social, Digital, Experiential, as well as implementation
- Experience creating written business cases, proposals, and marketing materials
- Experience working client-direct, Agency of Record (AOR’s), or with a production house
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from strategy to close with a track record of closing new business to meet revenue targets within assigned territory
- Proficient in Indesign, Powerpoint, and CRM software
- Polished presentation, communication, and listening skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and nimble attitude to excel in a fast changing and growing sales environment
- Able to work autonomously under mínimal supervision
- Highly motivated self-starter driven by incentives and results
- Passion for media sales and a desire to keep up with the latest trends
