**Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Officer**:
**About the Role**:
We’re looking for a dedicated and reliable Full-Time Security Guard to join our team at the Cobequid Pass Rest Area (209 NS-104, Londonderry, NS). This vital site supports thousands of daily travelers and is a key part of Nova Scotia's infrastructure. If you take pride in protecting people and property, we want to meet you
**Schedule & Pay**:

- Hourly Rate: $20.63/hour
- Schedule: 4-on / 4-off rotation of 12-hour shifts (day & night)
- Overtime: After 48 hours/week
- Status: Full-Time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Patrol the site by foot or vehicle to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized access
- Enforce rules, control access points, and de-escalate situations with professionalism
- Respond to emergencies, including intoxication, aggression, or medical incidents
- Provide exceptional customer service to the public
- Communicate via two-way radio and write detailed reports on incidents and daily activity

**Requirements**:

- Resident of Nova Scotia
- At least 19 years of age
- Currently lives in Truro or nearby area
- Owns a reliable personal vehicle and valid Driver’s License
- Valid Nova Scotia Security License (or eligible to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR Level C certification (CSA-approved provider)
- Comfortable with physical duties: standing, walking, sitting for extended periods
- English fluency (written and spoken)
- Use of Force (UoF) and MOAB Certification — or willingness to complete company-sponsored training prior to nboarding
- High School Diploma or GED
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
