**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Assemble and erect communication towers using construction or rigging equipment.**:

- **Install steel structures such as tower sections, platforms, and antenna mounts.**:

- **Safely mount antennas, transmitters, receivers, and other wireless communication equipment onto towers.**:

- **Prepare sites for tower installation, including groundwork and layout.**:

- **Handle and install antenna cables, transmission lines, and related components.**:

- **Ensure proper routing and connection of cables for optimal signal transmission.**:

- **Conduct routine maintenance to ensure structural integrity and optimal performance of towers.**:

- **Repair any damage or wear to towers and associated equipment.**:

- **Assess project requirements and select appropriate tools and equipment.**:

- **Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and specifications.**:

- **Climb communication towers, poles, or other support structures using safety harnesses and equipment.**:

- **Perform installation, maintenance, and repair tasks at heights, often exceeding 200 feet.**:

- **Assist with equipment setup, logistics, and transportation as needed.**

**Skills & Knowledge**
- **Proficiency in working at heights and in various weather conditions.**:

- **Expertise in using tools and equipment relevant to tower construction, such as cranes, winches, rigging equipment, and power tools.**:

- **Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.**:

- **Knowledge of electrical wiring and basic circuitry for connecting communication equipment.**:

- **Understanding of safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks associated with working at heights.**:

- **Physical fitness and agility to perform tasks while climbing and working at elevated heights for extended periods.**:

- **Strong troubleshooting skills for technical issues related to communication equipment and tower structures.**:

- **Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with supervisors and clients.**:

- **Keen attention to detail when performing installation, maintenance, and inspection tasks to ensure precision and accuracy.**:

- **Thoroughness in identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.**:

- **Familiarity with various types of communication equipment, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, and cables.**:

- **Understanding of telecommunications protocols and standards.**:

- **Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.**

**Qualifications**
- **High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in telecommunications or related fields preferred.**:

- **Minimum of 1 year of experience in rigging or tower climbing (preferred).**:

- **Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.**:

- **Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.**:

- **Certifications such as Competent Climber, Competent Rigger, or equivalent are advantageous.**

**Work Environment**

**This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and at significant heights. The role requires physical strength, endurance, and a commitment to safety protocols. Travel may be required to different job sites.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

- Overtime
