We provide custom chilled storage for commodities requiring temperature specific conditions. We specialize in the storage, handling, and global distribution of chilled products including seafood and groceries. Our strategic location in Surrey, B.C. is within 20km of the Canada/US border, the YVR Airport, and all major freeways which allows us to seamlessly handle all of our customers’ needs.
**Nature of Position: Permanent, Full time. Schedule to be determined**
**What You’ll Do**
The Continuous Improvement Coordinator (CIC) under the direction of General Manager will lead the
coordination and training of methods to reduce costs, improve productivity, mitigate risks, and increase customer satisfaction at Surecold Refrigerated Storage. This individual will conduct cycle time analysis and other system audits to verify current production rates and target potential improvements, as well as investigate procedural improvements. They will work with various teams to improve theworking environment and product throughput. The CIC would identify business issues, analyze impact, and roll out solutions to improve SureCold’s overall performance.
**You will**:
- Analyze company processes and procedures
- Develop process enhancement strategies
- Establish norms and standards of company performance
- Monitor current performance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance productivity
- Communicate and gather ideas from fellow members
- Implementation and training of new processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
**What You Need to Get the Job Done**
- Either:
- Post secondary education involving operations management and/or project management
- 2 years experience in a similar role
- Or a mixture of the above
- Ability to use office suite
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, continually adapting to change and ability to work under pressure
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to create and execute project plans that achieve identified targets
- Produce reports and presentations to communicate the status of assigned projects and tasks
- Leadership abilities
- Problem solving and root cause analysis abilities
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Must be able to work with littler supervision and be self directed
