**About the Role**:
We’re looking for a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our partnership efforts with Event Timers across the U.S. These timers are key influencers in the endurance event ecosystem, and your goal will be to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships that drive referrals and expand our market reach.

You’ll work at the intersection of endurance sports and event technology, playing a critical role in scaling our presence by leveraging partnerships with timers who serve races of all sizes—from local 5Ks to major marathons and triathlons.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Identify & Engage**: Research and reach out to race timing companies and individuals who manage timing for endurance events (running, cycling, triathlon, obstacle racing, etc.).
- ** Build Relationships**: Develop long-term, trust-based partnerships with timers, positioning our company as their go-to referral for race services or technology.
- ** Referral Growth**: Create and execute a clear referral strategy to drive a consistent pipeline of event leads from the timer network.
- ** Partner Enablement**: Provide tools, resources, and education to help timers effectively promote our offerings to their race clients.
- ** Market Intelligence**: Stay informed on the endurance event industry and the evolving needs of timers and race organizers.
- ** Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Work with marketing, product, and sales teams to align messaging and ensure a smooth onboarding process for referred events.
- ** CRM & Reporting**: Maintain accurate and timely data in the CRM system; report on outreach activity, partnership growth, and referral metrics.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years in digital media sales or brand partnerships, preferably in health, fitness, lifestyle, or sports markets.
- Existing relationships with brand marketers, media planners, or relevant agencies a strong plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker who understands how to craft campaigns that align with brand goals.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales prospecting platforms.

**About ACTIVE**:
At Global Payments our vision is to be “Champions of Inclusion.” We are fully committed and focused on creating a better tomorrow in the communities in which we live and work. We aspire to ensure fair treatment, access, opportunity and advancement for all team members. We believe all team members should be able to bring their true, authentic selves to the workplace and feel accepted, engaged and understood.
