We are a rapidly growing, national logistics service provider serving a notable list of established and fast-growing clients. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly motivated individual to manage the purchasing of all packaging and equipment materials in support of our business.
**Position Details**:
This position is a full-time position and primarily an onsite position.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Manage all packaging and consumable purchasing for the business and its clients.
- Deal directly with new and existing vendors to ensure the best quality, supply, and price for packaging all materials.
- Work with vendors to find opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
- Manage the rapidly changing lead time environment for packaging to ensure no stockouts.
- Work with our engineering, accounting, and operations teams to source new packaging, warehouse storage system equipment, IT equipment and material handling equipment.
- This position also oversees inventory management of all consumable materials.
**Desired Skills and Qualifications**
- Highly skillful at Excel, including data sorting, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
- Experienced using Microsoft Access for querying data and building reports.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Technically inclined and able to learn new software systems with ease.
- At least 3 years of experience in similar roles, ideally within packaging or supply chain.
- At least 2 years global sourcing.
- You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have good IT skills.
