**Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Purchaser to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area. In this role, you will play a crucial part in sourcing and procuring materials that align with our mission of delivering innovative cladding solutions. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our operational success and safety standards.
**Responsibilities**
**Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.**
- Conduct sourcing activities to identify potential suppliers for cladding products.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to optimize procurement costs.
- Ensure that purchase order terms and conditions incorporate technical, schedule, quality and PCC terms and conditions as required.
- Responsible for the complete life cycle of purchase orders.
- Ensure that purchase orders are approved in accordance with policies and execute the purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner.
- Participate in strategic projects to help streamline processes when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchase related documents and maintain and organize related filing systems
- Utilize accounting and ERP systems for effective inventory management.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand material requirements.
- Analyze historical data as well as market trends to inform purchasing strategies.
- Monitor supply chain processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Support operations in delivering planned objectives and initiatives
- resolve problems between suppliers and Praxy Cladding Corp and create corrective actions plans as required.
- Prepare and issue pricing enquiries
- Perform evaluations of potential suppliers
- Review goods receipt invoices for approval: report on discrepancies, coordinate corrective actions within Praxy and our vendors.
- Work with Warehouse team to monitor and manage inventory
- **Qualifications**:
- **3 to 5 years of purchasing and supply chain management experience within the construction industry**:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
**Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within the construction or building materials industry.**
- **Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful vendor management.**:
- Proficiency in Quickbooks and ERP systems is essential.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to analyze data for informed decision-making.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Strong ability to manage shifting priorities
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
