Documentation Clerk, Packaging

**Reports to**

Plant Director

**Role**

Responsible for all documentation and administrative functions as it pertains to the Packaging department. Accountable for all documents leaving the Packaging Department. Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Supervisor in support of the larger organization and production goals

**Responsibilities**
- Create shipping documents in accordance to corresponding data and shipping needs; Submit and file once complete; Ensure all accompanying documentations are present with packed items
- Package all products according to instructions; Analyze products being packaged to determine ways to improve efficiencies; Structure orders in a systematic manner for easy packaging
- Inspect and ensure the Quality Standards set by QC are adhered in all realms of the department
- Ensure correct ETL labels are assigned to the work orders, according to each Job Traveler
- Prepare shipping documentation for the Shipping Department
- Prepare Packaging Job Travelers for the Packaging Department; Organize and delegate business requirements to the packagers; Perform spot checks throughout the Packaging Lines
- Confirm that the Approval and/or Record Drawings correspond to the product being packaged
- Understand all Company catalogue descriptions
- Analyze labour times to ensure they match within the parameters set on the Job Traveler; Escalade discrepancies as needed
- Work with Assembly Line Supervisor and the Planning department to receive updates and timelines regarding all orders
- Upload project photos/videos in an accurate and organized manner
- Guide and train packaging employees, new employees and temporary employees on how to package fixtures, referencing the Work Instruction Manuals
- Spot check inventory of packaging equipment; Escalade discrepancies and deficiencies as needed
- Report defective product, processes, equipment or questionable conditions to Supervisor
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- May be required to stand long time periods
- Wear proper safety equipment and follow safe working practices; Exercise caution to avoid accidents and injuries
- Work is performed in a combination of environments

**Qualifications**
- Demonstrated project coordination skills; well organized, attentive to details
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to work both as an individual and in a team environment
- Proven track record of personal responsibility and accountability
- Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs when requested
- Overtime as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
