We are hiring for Second Bind who pioneers in environmental innovation, transforming clutter into purpose for a sustainable future. We are looking for an HR Intern to perform various administrative tasks and support our HR department's daily activities. HR Intern responsibilities include updating our employee records with new hire information, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. Ultimately, you will assist in organizing and coordinating our HR policies and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Onboarding**: Helping with the preparation and organization of onboarding materials for new hires, and sometimes assisting in the orientation process.
- **Administrative Tasks**: Handling general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining employee records.
- **Employee Engagement**: Supporting activities related to employee engagement and morale, such as organizing events or surveys.
- **HR Policies and Procedures**: Assisting in the development or updating of HR policies and procedures, and helping to ensure they are communicated effectively.
- **Training Support**: Aiding in the coordination of training sessions, including scheduling, logistics, and materials preparation.
- **Compliance**: Assisting with ensuring that the company’s HR practices comply with labor laws and regulations.
- **Data Management**: Maintaining and updating HR databases, tracking employee information, and generating reports as needed.
- **Employee Relations**: Supporting the handling of employee inquiries and concerns, and assisting in conflict resolution if needed.
**Requirements**:
- Currently enrolled in a post-grad or undergraduate Human Resources - related course
- Experience as a Staff Assistant or similar junior HR role or previous internship is a plus
- Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, and resume databases, experience with MS Office, good understanding of full-cycle recruiting,
- Basic knowledge of labor legislation
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer proficiency
