**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix.
- Verify patient information and insurance details prior to appointments.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care.
- Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Assist in managing front desk operations and provide support to other staff members as needed.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a medical office receptionist is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, Telus PS Suite is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and administrative procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using phone systems and standard office equipment.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care are essential for this role.
