We are a diverse program that offers children enriched learning and a nurturing environment. We follow Reggio Emilia and Emergent Learning approaches to education, wherein the child is viewed as both a teacher and a learner, capable of learning through exploration. The program is tailored to the individual needs of the children and intent on the healthy development of the whole child. Montreux Childcare is seeking individuals with a passion for learning and providing the best care for the children who attend our program. Educators who are interested in the position can provide a cover letter and a current resume.

**Qualifications**:

- A Child Care Staff Qualification Certificate (Level 1, 2, or 3)
- A valid First Aid & CPR C/AED certificate
- A clear Criminal Record Check with a vulnerable sector search no older than 6 months
- Canadian Citizenship and/or a valid work permit
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English
- Experience and knowledge in Reggio Emilia and Inquiry-Based Learning philosophies is an asset, but not required

**Responsibilities of an Early Childhood Educator are**:

- Develop positive and loving relationships with the children
- Ensure each child's needs are being met
- Establish and maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the classroom
- Develop and implement a weekly program plan that provides children with age-appropriate experiences that focus on the development of the whole child, touching on all areas of development
- Attend staff meetings and professional development days when required
- Build positive relationships with children, fellow staff, and parents

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: From $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
