Maintenance Helper

We are currently accepting resumes for a **Maintenance Helper** for our meat processing facility located in Brantford, Ontario.

**Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Complete daily building equipment checks, water testing, and accurately record all required information.
- Maintain and clean the DAF system on a regular basis.
- Inspect and replace equipment filters as needed.
- Conduct monthly checks of all building fire extinguishers.
- Keep work areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner.
- Assist with minor plumbing and electrical maintenance repairs.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications for this position include**:

- Read, write, and communicate (English)
- Proficient mathematical and computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude with a good knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods, and trade practices
- Ability to lift 60lbs and work in cold, hot, and dirty environments
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Good communication and organization skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively

**Successful applicants must be available to work a straight day shift, Monday to Friday, plus overtime as required.**

**Day Shift: 6:30am to 3:00pm**
