MasTec Canada is accepting resumes for a Journeyman/Lead Insulator, with an anticipated **_start date in early February, 2025 until January, 2026,_** to join its Industrial Division in support of **_executing projects near Bonnyville, Alberta_**.

Note, this is a project-specific hire with potential for longer term work pending successful future project awards. **_Consideration will be given to local and non-local talent._**

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select the type of insulation required
- Measure and cut insulating material to required dimensions using hand and power tools
- Fit insulation around obstructions and between studs and joists
- Installation of vapour barriers
- Other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Journeyman Insulator certification
- First Aid
- H2S
- CSTS
- WHIMIS 2015

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:

- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada’s 6 Core Values
- **_Valid Class 5 driver’s license and current clean drivers abstract (5 years) is required_**:

- Must be clean shaven
- Must have original copies of tickets and available to present upon request
- Strong communication (both verbal and written) and teamwork skills are required
- Excellent manual dexterity, with the ability to easily perform intricate and precise actions
- Ability to understand how mechanical systems work and how to operate and maintain machinery effectively
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required
- Good hand-eye coordination is required
- Ability to follow instructions and make good decisions is required
- Must have an acute awareness of surroundings including under, above and around you
