Our Marketing & Communications team operates as an in-house Marketing Agency and supports First Capital nationally. From managing internal and external communications to spearheading leasing and property marketing efforts and building high-quality physical and digital collateral, our team is there every step of the way, ensuring consistency in the FCR brand across the board.

As Marketing & Communications Intern, you will support this team and our growing marketing efforts across the organization, with the focus of increasing our brand awareness and assisting in different marketing projects. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & Communication, you will be working closely with multiple departments, FCR tenants, patrons, and various other stakeholders. You will also assist in the implementation of Summer Programming at FCR centres across Canada.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Coordinate various marketing initiatives including e-blasts, promotional items, social media, content creation.
- Assist in creation of FCR omnichannel campaign.
- Assist the Marketing & Communications specialist in the coordination of marketing projects at a variety of our properties.
- Coordinate and manage our yearly property photo and video capture.
- Work with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Vimeo and assist in the creation of content calendars.
- Conduct monthly digital performance reports, data and content management.
- Support with marketing administration work and budget reconciling.
- Create and update marketing collateral.
- Participate in special projects and take on other duties as needed.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Marketing & Communications, Media, Public Relations, or related fields.
- Demonstrated interest in commercial real, with previous related internship or co-op experience as an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Social Media platforms and social media best practices.
- Highly creative with strong creative writing skills (ability to write copy for different platforms and audiences), and excellent service delivery skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Apps and experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of video production and creation is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate across all levels both within and outside of First Capital.

**OUR APPLICATION PROCESS**:
Our Summer Internships/Co-Ops are four-month, paid, in-person opportunities commencing on May 5, 2025, and concluding on August 22, 2025. Interns must be available on a full-time basis for the entire duration of the program.
