**Title**: Manufacturing Manager
**Reports to**: Senior Manufacturing Manager
**Job Purpose**: Supervise day to day manufacturing line in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Ensure smooth production operation during shift. Manage up to 100 + employees. Must have LEAN or KAIZEN experience.
***Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
Supervise day to day production operations (machine shop, welding, pre-built, assembly and fabrication) in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Hire, train and coach associates in conjunction with Team leaders
Responsible for shift schedule: work station assignments/rotations, associate training, associate vacations, associate breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent associates and shift rotations.
Contact for on call service in weekends.
Advise and work with corporate engineering for custom made product design
Approve manufacturing feasibility of custom made products
Responsible to meet manufacturing goals: On time delivery + quality targets
Responsible for product quality Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
Manage for Daily Improvements. (MDI)
Communicate with other team leaders and customer service to meet or exceed customer’s requests.
Ensure a clean and safe work environment. (5S)
Responsible for confirmation of time sheets (HRIS)
**Education and Experience**:
HSD or GED required, College degree preferred
Two to five years of manufacturing supervisory experience
Experience in manufacturing of home and hearth products
Knowledge of MS Office
Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
Business writing skills required.
