**Contract Counsellor Position at True Peace Counselling (Remote in Victoria, BC)**

**True Peace Counselling** is expanding and looking for a compassionate, trauma-informed **Registered Clinical Counsellor**, or **Registered Social Worker** to join our virtual practice. True Peace Counselling is a trauma-informed practice dedicated to empowering individuals to heal from past wounds, break free from harmful patterns, and build fulfilling relationships. Through compassionate, client-centered therapy, we help clients embrace their inherent worth and create meaningful, lasting connections.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide virtual counselling services to individuals.
- Conduct complimentary 15-minute consultations for potential clients.
- Maintain clinical records in compliance with professional standards.
- Manage billing and invoicing independently.
- Engage in professional developments and case consultations.
- Ensure compliance with BCACC, BCCSW, or CCPA regulations.
- Maintain professional liability insurance and a valid business license in BC.
- Conduct risk assessments and collaboratively develop safety plans with clients.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Master’s degree (or higher) in Clinical Counselling, Counselling Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of one year of post-graduate counselling experience (practicum experience considered).
- Formal training in counselling modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, or somatic therapies (asset).
- Experience supporting individuals with various mental health concerns, including trauma, anxiety, and depression.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and professional documentation.
- Proficiency with online practice management tools (e.g., Jane, Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams).
- Experience or interest in working with perinatal clients is considered an asset.

**Compensation & Work Structure**:

- **Salary**: Competitive split, approximately $90 per client hour to start.
- **Work Type**: Freelance, Part-time (5-15 hours per week), fully remote with potential in-person opportunities in the Westshore.
- **Work Location**: Remote within Victoria, BC.
