CNC Operator

**SKILLS REQUIRED**:
- Required Journeyman/Machinist Certificate from a recognized institute
- Minimum 3 years experience working as a Machinist
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Fluent in English
- Must be physically fit to perform lifting of up to 25lbs
- Fluent in algebra and trigonometry
- Proficiency with MASTERCAM
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suites
- Familiar with programming
- High attention to detail
- Innovative and creative
- Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to critically analyze and think
**Responsibilities**:
- Operate CNC-Lathes and CNC-Mills
- Execute the Machining Cycle: Set up, Machining (rough out, finishing) and Inspection
- Analyze and interpret drawings and blueprints with reference to GD and T Principles and ISO Standard tolerances
- Plan and prepare work based off set up time (soft jaws, fixtures and tooling) and machine time to determine the best sequence of operation(s)
- Set up tooling for a variety of jobs (vice setup, sub table setup, jaws, turret)
- Load programs, create fixtures, adjust speed/feed offsets, determine correct cut/spindle speed for different materials
- Inspect parts and assemblies with regard to specific drawing requirements
- Adjust offset of tools according to specific drawings
- Machine parts and assemblies following ISO Quality Management and customer requirements
- Forecast potential errors and plan accordingly to avoid obstacles using standard operating procedures
