**The Early Years Cultural Knowledge Person - Culture Kit Program will**:

- Assist and advise in the creation of educational resources for the program
- Collaborate with other Elders, resource people, Cultural Educators and Knowledge Keepers to create materials and resources
- Provide cultural knowledge to the creation of books, lesson plans and other written resource materials
- Assist in Sourcing materials and resources
- Collaborate with the culture program team to provide trainings and workshops
- Provide Indigenous knowledge to the culture team
- Work with the culture program team to create kits for distribution throughout B.C.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Experience working with First Nation communities
- Experience working with children an asset
- Creative, resourceful and able to turn ideas into resources for the culture kits
- Computer skills in WORD an asset
- Knowledge of First Nation cultures and protocols
- Able to provide advice, wisdom and cultural input to program team
- Good communication skills both verbal and written

**Requirements**:

- Able to travel for research, consultations, workshops and trainings as part of the job
- Able to attend conferences and events across B.C. as needed
- Able to assist in presenting activities in classrooms when needed
- Valid drivers license and use of own vehicle desired
- Criminal record check completed upon hiring

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
