We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and experienced leader to manage our neighborhood pub. The General Manager will work closely with the ownership, kitchen manager and entire team to oversee all day-to-day operations. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Hire, train, motivate, schedule, supervise staff, and oversee team performance.
- Efficiently lead our staff to consistently exceed our guest expectations
- Collaborate with our Kitchen Manager to manage food and labour costs, while ensuring a high-quality product
- Oversee and ensure maintenance and cleanliness of property and equipment
- Create long lasting relationships, both with our customers but also with our vendors and technical service providers.
- Have knowledge of relevant codes, B.C. laws and industry practices and acquire and maintain knowledge of current restaurant and liquor laws, maintaining health and safety/fire standard codes.
- Maintain labour and food costs
- Have knowledge of POS - Givex
**Key Requirements**
- 3+ years previous experience leading a full-service restaurant or pub
- Proven leadership in developing and mentoring others
- Passionate about food and drink and up on all the latest trends
- Highly organized with great planning and administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Have a strong desire for continuous improvement, all while being positive and energetic
- Skilled at setting and achieving short and long-term business goals
- Ability to work in a face paced environment.
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
