Building Maintenance Assistant for School

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Maintenance professional to join our team. As a Building Maintenance, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facility. This is a critical role that requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

**Duties**:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as monitoring and repairing plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential issues or areas that require maintenance
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff
- Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns
- Install various fixtures, equipment, and structures as needed
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Assist with other maintenance tasks around the school, such as snow removal, automobile maintenance, clogged plumbing, paint and drywall touch-ups etc.

**Skills**:

- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform repairs on various systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals
- Can communicate in English and/or Russian (You will report to our building manager, who speaks Russian). New immigrants are welcome
- Ability to maintain various fixtures, equipment, and structures
- Friendly and eager to help in many situations as they arise.
- Hard working and no job is beneath you.
